    You need to be in your assigned seat when the bell rings and working on the do now.

    3 Lateness and your participation grade will be lowered

  2. Be responsible.

    Bring everything you’ll need, such as paper, a pen, etc. All work must be submited on due date. You're responsible for all missed work.
    If you suffer an extended illness or emergency, contact me to discuss a schedule for you to turn in your work.

  3. Be respectful.

    You are expected to be courteous and respectful to all students, teachers, and guests.
    There will be no swearing, name-calling, snide comments, and throwing objects.
    Also, the use of technology at inappropriate times is rude, per school policy, devices that are ill-used
    will be taken from you and returned to your parents. Remember, you control your technology; it shouldn’t control you.

  4. Be awesome.

    Think for yourself. Be willing to think deeply, take risks, and work hard; then, you’ll love this class.

______Consequences:

Students who fulfill the classroom requirements will enjoy a rich, rewarding, and successful learning experience. A student that does not meet one of these expectations will experience these negative consequences:
  • 1st offense - Re-teaching of the expectations/rules & deduction of 5 participation points
  • 2nd offense - Phone call home
  • 3rd offense - Removed from class and sent to guidance. The student will not be allowed into the classroom until a parent/guardian comes for a conference with the teacher
  • 4th offense - Referral of student to the dean for disciplinary action
  • Late Work
    Excused absences only: Full credit (Must submit an official letter from parent/guardian/doctor/other)
    Non-excused Absence
    - All assignments can be made up ONLY within five days from the assignment date.
  • Subtract 5 points (1 day)
  • Subtract 25 points (2 days)
  • Subtract 35 points (3 days or more)
  • The best grade on late after 4 days and work that is done correctly will be a grade of 65.
  • MUST email instructor and explain the reason for lateness following proper email etiquette.
